Quick Guide: DynaParent 1.0

DynaParent uses a set of custom null objects in order to dynamically parent items.
This is due to a known LScript bug in the getWorldRotation() function.
The workaround is to get the information from something that is actually parented
to the object we're "following".
DynaParent works with hierarchies as well, and includes
a GlobalScaling option to enable/disable the scaling influence of the parents.
The Scaling effect is global, meaning that you enable/disable every scaling influence
but the child's one.
You can toggle the scaling effect whenever you want.

How to use it

With DynaParent you can animate the child object as well, but you have to parent it to a Null
and apply DynaParent to that Null.

Adding Parents

1. Create a Null object
2. Parent the object/hierarchy to that Null
3. Apply DynaParent to the Null
4. Open DynaParent Option Panel, select items in Layout (multiselection) and press the "Add Parent" button
5. Open the Null Object Properties Panel and add the Custom Object "Sliders"
6. In Sliders, open the Null tree and add all the channels with the "_Parent" suffix
7. Animate the sliders

Removing Parents

1. Select Parent objects in DynaParent window
2. Press the "Remove Parent" button
3. You'll be prompted if you want to delete some "_dynaparent" objects.Clear them.

When you remove the motion script DynaParent will automatically select all the null objects it used.
It'll not prompt you to clear them.
You'll have all of them just selected and ready to be deleted.
You can Add/Remove parents whenever you want.

Limitations

At the moment DynaParent is not bakeable.
If you manage to bake it, please let me know!.
If you apply DynaParent directly to the child object it can't be animated for its own.
Unpredictable results if you set a keyframe to the object affected by DynaParent.
