Workflow:
Using "Realtime Grid Snap" is very straightforward.
When any of the features is active, you can use Layout's standard manipulators
as you usually do, but the selected object now moves snapped on the grid
by the measure you decide.
Rotation snapping follows the same principle but obviously you don't have
any "grid" to snap to, instead you obtain some useful stepped rotations by
the angle you decide.
You can activate/deactivate all features separately at any time.
No keyframes are created while using "Realtime Snap"...everything is done
realtime on the current frame.
The "Object snap" feature let you interactively snap on other objects' pivot
points by simply moving the current selected object near the others.
When the current distance is within the range you specify using the "Distance"
parameter, the object get snapped on the other one.
Once snapped, you'll have to translate the object again by a small offset
to get it move around again...so you won't lose your current snap too easily.
This feature works also with animated objects and between cameras-and-objects
and lights-and-objects.
